Diagnostic

The first visit to our office is probably your most important.  During your first visit, Dr. Spadafora will spend time getting to know you and your dental concerns. He will conduct an in-depth examination which includes an oral cancer screening (also done in every continuing care visit) and necessary radiographic images. In some cases, Dr. Spadafora may recommend having diagnostic models made.

Before determining your recommended treatment, Dr. Spadafora will review your records, his notes, your concerns, the x-rays, and models. Then, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss his findings and answer all of your questions so you can make a well informed, thought out treatment decision. There is no charge or obligation for this.

Digital X-rays

Our office is equipped with digital x-ray equipment (computer dental radiography). This technology not only allows patients to get the necessary x-rays with much less radiation (90% less by some estimates), but is also instantaneous. The images pop-up on the computer, saving patients time in the chair. Using this technology to magnify the images, Dr. Spadafora can easily point out any areas of concern.

We are also equipped with laser technology to assist in decay detection.
